Urban Legends and Scary Stories Series Vol. II

Hello  Again

I have been busy and reading stories and I cannot get through them all. I have been editing and looking through them and It is hard to fix some errors in them so I decided to throw these out there. These are some stories I read in a SEVENTEEN from way back when and I thought they were pretty good and some of them are from other sites too while I edit the ones I have.

So sit back, grab a cup of hot chocolate and snuggle under the covers and read about the creepy things that happen to everyday people…

THEY WENT TO SLEEP … BUT THE KITCHEN DIDN’T- Marissa

One night I was staying with some of my friends and we all fell asleep pretty late. Around 3 a.m. I woke up and I heard something that sounded unmistakably like kitchen cabinets opening and shutting. It was loud enough that I felt like I had to see what was going on. I didn’t see anyone in the kitchen, so I assumed I was hearing things. Well, the next morning when I woke up, one of my friends was was really upset and crying. She said that she woke up in the middle of the night and heard people talking in the kitchen saying ‘We are not wanted here anymore. We aren’t important.’ It was really scary.

The Dog Who Sees Spirits- Victoria

My dog has a nasty habit of scratching the door in the middle of the night. One evening she wouldn’t stop scratching the door for any reason. After calling her five times, I threw a pillow towards the door to make her stop. That’s when she barked … from right beside me. She’d been next to me the whole time.

THIS HOUSE HAD A VISITOR WHO WOULDN’T LEAVE -Alyssa

When I was 7 years old, we had a ghost in our house. I remember one night when we were talking in the living room and suddenly a glass of water went flying off the counter. Another time, the cabinets started opening and closing. It was so bad that my parents got a priest to come to the house and do what would most likely be called an exorcism of some sort. We found out later that an old woman used to live in the house — until she was murdered by her husband. We ended up moving, but I still have nightmares.

Hands of Blood and Bone- Unknown

When I was about eight or nine years old, my mother worked nights and we shared a double bed. One day I felt a strange presence in the bedroom. I had my eyes closed and when I opened them, I saw hands wrapped around the bed from underneath. The hands were made of blood, bone, and hanging skin, and they tried to climb up the bed. I turned away and there was a white “shadow” lying next to me. I managed, after a loooong time, to get up and run to my grandmother’s room. She didn’t dare come back to the bedroom with me.

THEY THOUGHT “BLOODY MARY” WAS JUST A LEGEND- Kayla

My friends were sleeping over and just as a joke someone said “Bloody Mary” in front of the mirror in my basement. Nothing happened so we all went to sleep. Then at about 2 a.m., I woke up and it sounded like someone was pacing on the other side of the wall, in the unfinished part of the basement. I looked around and realized the sound had woken up several of my friends so I asked if anyone wanted to check it out. Everyone was too afraid … so we tried to ignore it until slowly, we fell back asleep. In the light of day, everything seemed fine again and we didn’t think anything of it. Until several days later. I was scrolling through old pictures on my camera roll when I saw a picture I definitely did not take. It was of my friend who did “Bloody Mary,” and the photo was of her staring into the mirror she did it in. The picture was in a really dark filter. I immediately talked to all of my friends who were over that night and everyone swore they didn’t take it. So who did?

Nightmare Time- Ana

My mother always complained that she had a lot of nightmares, but she would never say what her dreams were about. One day while we were at the mall, I suggested that she wait in the food court while I was getting our food. When I returned with our meals, she had a strange look on her face, so I asked her if she was okay. She said she was fine, so we finished our meals and left.

As we were riding down the escalator to leave, I turned to talk to my mother, and I almost had a heart attack because standing behind her was a man in old-fashioned clothing holding one of my mother’s shoulders and looking at me with a very angry expression. She saw the shock on my face right away and shouted at me asking what was wrong. When I told her what I had seen, she started crying and said, ‘you just described the man that tries to kill me every night in my nightmares.
